A Fading Hope: Chapter six

A Fading Hope: Chapter Six: Stormclouds

Song- I Will Believe  (From Music inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia)

We were meant to open doors
And we were meant to face the danger
Never knowing what's in store

And never having met a stranger

One of us is big and brave
And one of us is tenderhearted
One of us is tempting fate
And the last but not least of us
Has faith enough for each of us

And I know
That I could never go it alone
'Cause I believe
I'd be lost without You here beside me

There's more, but I'll be using this song twice, so you'll see the rest later! The quality of the video is not so great- the song's also on Itunes. It's a nice one, at least I think so. It comes from an album of music inspired by and for the Chronicles of Narnia, and I think it really works with the digital world as well. While I didn't focus on it, the section after the section I used is what really strikes me as fitting for the two sets of siblings- Tai is big and brave, Kari tenderhearted, Matt is tempting fate, and T.K, the smallest, the last, is always full of faith, full of hope that things will turn out.  So yeah. But the opening fits for all the kids- they are the chosen ones, meant to face darkness, evil, unsure of what's to come- and danger does come, often. So that's the song. It's also part of the "code". ( hint, do any of the songs have anything in common in their background?)

Story- Yay, yet another nightmare. I actually went back and re-watched the episode where the first fight goes down twice, to make sure I got everything right. It was pretty fun to re visit, and fun to write from T.K.'s point of view rather than the audience- well, from a closer third person than the audience, anyway.  I hope you liked it.

Again, it probably says bad things about me, but I liked writing T.K having his panic. I dunno why, I just did. Good thing Pata was there for him, right? At first I was going to have T.k be at his father's apartment, then run across the street to Tai and Kari, but that doesn't fit with my timeline of Dad being with Matt in the evening. so I had to change it, and rather liked it. Hana is an OC, yes- I'm not fond of them, but sometimes you need 'em-introduced briefly in Captive Light. This will probably be her last appearance, though.

The email calling for aid was another story- I had to make it short, I had to make it clear they didn't know who sent it, but I also needed to make sure it would scare the heck out of poor freaked out T.K, who deserves a medal for putting up with me. I think I did a fairly good job. You'll understand why later, *evil grin*

The rest of the chapter was hard, but straightforward. I sat on my couch and typed. For several hours. worth it? I think yes.
I did have a particularly fun time with the last bit, with Yolei. She really was their best shot, but she is only, what, 11? Not that the others are much older, but that must have been, you  know, scary. suddenly everyone's looking to you.
Well, that's about it. the next chapter deals with the Prophecy!

  1. The songs...well, they're all from things were people (usually children or teenagers...Harry Potter, Narnia, Code Lyoko) have to face down an impossible force, and they end up getting past it in the end. Brief observation there. The songs you pick tend to fit with what happens in the chapter, however loosely...in this chapter, they all rush to Izzy and Sora's aid without any idea of what's awaiting. In chapter 5, Izzy and Sora start their campout, which ends in disaster...much like your opening song quote implies...

Well, there are my current musings on the enigmatic Code. Do I have a lead anywhere to go off of?
